(Abstrakt 3/4)

Third release contains music that would probably be labeled as "noise". That is a genre I do not disregard but I would rather use such terms as "harsh" or "distorted" and simultaneously "melodic" and "melancholic". Either way these tracks are my attempt to view electronic music and digital signal processing from kind of an extreme point of view. A lot of these techniques were pioneered by people on labels like Mego, Mille Plateaux or Blast First. I realized that using sequencers in combination with the entropy of the modular synthesizer leads to weird rhythms and melodies one would never come up with on keyboard or fingerboard. I tried to keep this music fairly simple as far as different parts playing at the same time go – it's usually one or two sound generators being treated in a way that creates more spatial and textural sound. Again, I used software modular rack, sequencer and Nord Lead synthesizer for one track. All of these tracks were made from January to March 2021.
