about

∃ (there exists)

"Dissonance and resonance have to co-exist." (Peter Rehberg)

This album is continuation of my learning to use computer to shape, sculpt and bend the sound in interesting unpredictable ways.

Various pieces incorporate randomness. "Aut" and "Empire" both contain guitar as a source of voltage excluding its original sound. Guitar solo on "Empire" was inspired by John Frusciante's guitar playing in the great short-lived band Ataxia. "Funeral March/Falling Apart" samples heavily treated Carla Azar drumbeat. "Macabre" subconsciously borrows the very same sonic pattern that both Biosphere and Ekkehard Ehlers used in similar ways.

Listen to Autechre, Broadcast, Edgard Varèse, Ekkehard Ehlers, ela minus, Jim O'Rourke, John Foxx, Mike Paradinas, Peter Rehberg, Pluralone, Omar Rodríguez-López, Throbbing Gristle, Trickfinger...
